“Murgha Multani Nuts” is a popular dish in South Asian cuisine, particularly in Pakistan and India. The dish features chicken cooked with a variety of nuts and spices, resulting in a rich and flavorful curry. Here’s a recipe for making Murgha Multani Nuts:

 Ingredients:

 For Marination:

  • 500g chicken, cut into pieces
  •  1 cup yogurt
  •  1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  •  1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  •  1 teaspoon red chili powder
  •  Salt to taste

 For Curry:

  •  2 tablespoons oil or ghee
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  •  1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  •  1 teaspoon coriander powder
  •  1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  •  1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  •  1/2 teaspoon nutmeg powder
  •  1/2 cup mixed nuts (cashews, almonds, pistachios), chopped
  •  1 cup fresh cream
  •  1/2 cup milk
  •  Salt to taste
  •  Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

1. Marinate the Chicken:

  • In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  •  Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, coat them well, and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

2. Cooking the Chicken:

  • Heat oil or ghee in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  •  Add cumin seeds, coriander powder, garam masala powder, cardamom powder, and nutmeg powder. Cook for a couple of minutes until the spices release their aroma.
  •  Add the marinated chicken and cook until it turns golden brown and the oil starts to separate.

3. Adding Nuts and Cream:

  • Add the chopped mixed nuts and stir well to combine.
  •  Pour in fresh cream and milk. Mix everything together, cover the pan, and let it simmer on low heat until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens. This might take about 15-20 minutes.

4. Final Touch:

  • Adjust salt and spices according to your taste.
  •  Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.
